Original still photograph from the filming of ''Citizen Kane.'' In this scene, Orson Welles as Charles Foster Kane has just returned from Europe and is presented with the iconic silver trophy cup. ''Citizen Kane'' is known for initiating the technique of deep focus into the realm of cinematic convention, and this scene is one of the most-cited examples of its use in the film. During this segment, the engraved lettering on the trophy cup is sharp and readable, even while other aspects of the shot are also in focus. Backstamped RKO Radio Pictures, Inc., copyright 1940. Also bears the stamp of the photographer Alex Kahle and a blurb detailing the acceptable usage of the image as a press photo. Glossy photo measures 9.25'' x 7.5''. Very good condition.
