The front page headline of this 17 August 1977 issue of ''The Commerical Appeal'' reads: ''Death Captures Crown of Rock And Roll -- Elvis Dies Apparently After Heart Attack''. A photo of The King signing autographs is featured on the left, opposite a photo of his hearse leaving Baptist Hospital. His life's story is printed on the front page, and an interior article reports on the crowd gathering to mourn at Graceland.
