Carl Jung autograph letter signed, composed on his personal letterhead on 22 August 1954. Jung writes to his protegee, the psychoanalyst Dr. Rivkah Scharf Kluger, sending her thanks for a birthday present. Letter in German translates in full,
''Dear Miss! / First of all, please accept my warmest thanks for the wonderful birthday present that you devised for me! Unfortunately, I was not able to write you before now, since it is not possible for me to carve out more than a small number of vacation days for myself -correspondence, visitors, conferences etc. etc. I am still in urgent need of a vacation, so I must ask you to kindly be patient for the time being. Meanwhile, again with my warmest thanks and best wishes, Your C.G. Jung''. Single page letter measures 8.25'' x 5.875''. Vertical fold and minor creasing, overall near fine condition. Accompanied by original envelope handwritten by Jung.
