Artist Robert McCall original watercolor and pen illustration, commemorating the Apollo 15 first day cover. Large cover measuring 7.25'' x 5.25'' has the 2 August 1971 Houston cancellation, along with two commemorative stamps. The vibrant illustration is signed and dated by McCall at bottom and addressed to astronaut James B. Irwin. Illustration is matted and framed to a size of 13.25'' x 11.25'', with McCall writing an inscription on the mat, ''With Warmest Personal Congratulations, Bob McCall''. Illustration was presented to Irwin by McCall, now consigned by the Irwin estate. Near fine condition.
