First edition, first printing of a classic in modern literature, F. Scott Fitzgerald's ''The Great Gatsby''. New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1925. With all first printing points present: 1925 printed on title page, Charles Scribner's Sons logo appears on the copyright page with no subsequent printing statements, and typographical errors on pages 60, 119, 165, 205 and 211. Bound in teal cloth boards with blind-stamping to front cover. Measures 5.5'' x 7.75'' and runs 218 pages. Rear hinge starting with some leaning as a result, previous owner's signature to front free endpaper, minor mousing to a few pages, some rubbing to boards and professional touch-up to color. An attractive copy in very good condition.
