Michael Jackson personally owned and signed case holding a commemorative coin set for Marvel Comics, issued by The Highland Mint in 1998. Jackson signs the interior of the hinged top lid in black felt-tip, ''Love Michael Jackson / To Mason''. The recipient, Mason, is the son of Jackson's personal physician and friend, William Barney Van Valin, who wrote a book about his relationship with Jackson. Mason often visited Neverland with his father, where Michael gave him this coin set from his own collection. Set is #171 of 2,500 in the limited edition of five coins, each measuring 1.5'' in diameter. Velvet case measures 7'' x 4.25''. Near fine condition.
