Original ''Felix the Cat'' Sunday comic strip by Felix's co-creator Otto Messmer, published 2 July 1933. In this 11-panel strip, Felix befriends a young boy, whose mother is not keen on a cat ruining her new furniture. Felix takes matters into his own paws and simply gets rid of the furniture. With King Features Syndicate label on last panel. Artwork is unsigned but drawn by Messmer who took over drawing the strip in 1927, sometimes accompanied by Pat Sullivan's signature. Measures 23.125'' x 18.25'' on Sargent board. Browning and scuffing mostly confined to margin, overall in very good condition.
