Nobel Prize winning economist Friedrich Hayek signed first edition of ''Hayek: His Contribution to the Economic and Political Thought of Our Time'' by Eamonn Butler, co-founder of the Adam Smith Institute. London: Temple Smith, 1983. In this primer to Hayek's work, Butler explores his contributions to both economic theory and social sciences, particularly Hayek's concerns with socialism and planned economies. Signed by Hayek in fine black felt-tip on the title page, ''F.A. Hayek'', and also by Butler on the front free endpaper dated 1983. Book measures 5.75'' x 8.75''. Light chipping and discoloration to jacket; light shelf wear and discoloration to book, with some underlining in pencil. Overall in very good condition.
