Roald Dahl signed first edition of his classic novel, ''Charlie and the Chocolate Factory''. New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1964 second printing with 5-line colophon on last page. Signed by Dahl in black felt-tip on the front free endpaper without inscription, ''Roald Dahl'' with Dahl then drawing a series of ''x'' next to his name. Bound in red cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine and title design stamped to front, book measures 6.25'' x 9.5'' and runs 162pp. Light shelf wear and discreet stain to front board, otherwise in near fine condition. Rare as signed.
