During the scene where the French nationals - singing ''La Marseillaise'', drown out the Germans also singing, Le Beau can be seen with real tears streaming down her face, as she and her Jewish husband were actually WWII French refugees. Composed in fountain pen, she signs, ''Sincerely / Madeleine Le Beau''. Slip measures 5.5'' x 3.25''. Uneven right edge and uniform toning, else near fine condition. With JSA COA.
