Theodore Roosevelt signed limited edition of ''Big Game Hunting in the Rockies and on the Great Plains''. New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons, 1899. Number 225 of 1,000 in the limited edition, elegantly signed by Roosevelt in black fountain pen on his frontispiece portrait, wearing his Rough Rider uniform. This volume combines two previous Roosevelt books, ''Hunting Trips of a Ranchman'' and ''The Wilderness Hunter'', measuring 8.75'' x 11.25'' in publisher's half-calf, with gilt lettering and marbled endpapers. Full of tissue-guarded photographs and illustrations by Frederic Remington, A.B. Frost, and J. Carter Beard. Moderate shelf wear, expertly re-hinged with original calf spine laid down, overall in very good plus condition.
