Lot of Gus Grissom personally owned items, including several signed by the Apollo 1 astronaut. Lot includes:

1) Textbook used by Grissom while an undergrad at Purdue University, with his ownership signature and handwritten address. ''Properties of Engineering Materials'' is signed by Grissom in blue ballpoint on the front pastedown, ''Grissom, Virgil'', along with his address. Scranton: International Textbook Co., 1948. Lot also includes a course schedule tucked into book, signed by Grissom in blue ballpoint at top right, ''Grissom, Virgil'', as well as an unsigned sheet titled ''The Preparation of the Engineering Report''. Book measures 6.25'' x 9.25''. Some light shelf wear, overall in very good condition. With LOAs from Mark Grissom, and two COAs from Steve Zarelli Space Authentication.

2) Gus Grissom check signed three times, made out entirely in his hand to the ''Officers Open Mess AAFB'' at Langley on 18 July 1959 shortly after his selection as one of the Mercury 7. Not only is the check signed ''Virgil I. Grissom'' at lower right, but Grissom also handwrites details on the side of the check including his full name, rank, and ''NASA Space Task Group / Langley AFB, VA'' as the address. He also handwrites this information on the verso of check. Completed by Grissom in blue ballpoint. Check measures 8.125'' x 3''. Discreet cancellation stamps and holes, overall very good to near fine condition. With an LOA from Mark Grissom, and COA from Steve Zarelli Space Authentication.

3) Gus Grissom personally owned dime flown on Mercury-Redstone 4, the second U.S. human spaceflight, piloted by Grissom aboard the spacecraft Liberty Bell 7. Dime is held in a silver bezel with loop at top, accompanied by a sterling silver charm engraved ''Liberty Bell 7'' on one side, and ''21 July 1961'' on the other. Very good condition. With an LOA from Mark Grissom.

4) ''Honoring U.S. Space Achievements'' First Day Cover owned by the Grissom family. Cover is postmarked from Kennedy Space Center on 29 September 1967, with two 5 cent Gemini 4 stamps attached. Cover measures 9.5'' x 4.125''. Moderate toning to front, else near fine. With an LOA from Mark Grissom.
