Theodore Roosevelt typed letter signed as President, written on White House letterhead. Roosevelt writes to the editor of ''The Outlook'', the progressive newspaper which he would contribute to in 1911. Letter reads in part, ''...As you know, it is because I believe in the Outlook with all my heart and soul that I now and then write to you or your father when something appears that I do not think is quite what it should be. I may mention that this doubtful compliment I only pay to the Outlook! The Evening Post, for instance, may print any kind of article it wishes until it is black in the face and it would never enter my head to send a line to it...[signed] Theodore Roosevelt''. With hand-corrections by Roosevelt. Not examined out of frame, visible portion of letter measures 6.25'' x 7.75'', framed to approximately 23'' x 24.25''. Fold, and light toning, overall very good plus condition, with a bold signature by Roosevelt.
