Original 8'' x 10'' silver-gelatin photograph of the iconic Marilyn Monroe, taken by Andre de Dienes at Tobay Beach, Long Island in the summer of 1949, showing Marilyn giving the camera a sweet and sincere smile. Half-glossy double-weight photograph ca. 1965 has de Dienes' backstamp, as well as stamp of noted photo collector and Marilyn doll designer Kim Goodwin. Line from original negative extends onto Marilyn's face, although not conspicuous as it looks somewhat like a strand of hair; otherwise near fine condition.
