Martin Luther King, Jr. signed program from his appearance in 1962 at Inter American University in Puerto Rico. Titled ''Toward a World of Understanding'', King spoke at the University on 14-15 February 1962. He signs the front of the program, ''Best Wishes / Martin L King Jr.''. Visible portion of program measures 4.75'' square, elegantly framed in burled walnut alongside a sketch of King. Frame measures 20.5'' x 16''. Very light dampstaining to top of program, otherwise near fine. With a Kenneth Rendell COA taped to back of frame.
