Dwight Eisenhower personally owned and worn Stetson hat, worn by Eisenhower during hunting and fishing excursions, and then given by the President to Australian philanthropist Sir Edward Hallstrom. Sweatband of hat has printed name of Washer Brothers of Ft. Worth, the retail store where Eisenhower procured several of his Stetson hats. With provenance from the estate auction of Sir Edward Hallstrom, held by F.R. Strange of Sydney, Australia on 14 August 1972, lot 168. Hat is size 7 1/4''. Light discoloration to satin lining, overall very good plus condition.
