Program for the Grand Military Ball held on 15 April 1942 at the 1st Base Hospital in California, featuring 16 celebrity autographs. Signatures from Lou Costello, Bud Abbott, John Sutton, Laird Cregar, Lynn Bari and Red Skelton (who also wrote the inscription ''I dood it'', in reference to his 1943 film) appear on the cover. Rita Hayworth appears on page 12 and Hedy Lamarr appears on page 13. The centerfold ad for the Hollywood Palladium on pages 14 and 15 include Tim Holt, Ruth Hussey, George Murphy, Edgar Bergen, Roy Rogers, Ralph Byrd, Mickey Rooney and his first wife Ava Rooney (better known later as Ava Gardner). 28 page program features ''Captain'' Marion Davies on the cover with show schedule, advertisements and military pictures inside. Measures 5.75'' x 8.5''. Front cover is separating at spine, creasing and minor discoloration. Overall very good condition.
