Edie Bouvier Beale autograph letter signed. Jackie Kennedy's eccentric cousin writes to a friend in an undated letter, accompanied by its envelope postmarked 30 April 1981. Letter reads in part, ''Dearest Janet - I was just going to write you when your good-looking card arrived! I loved the one from Newport also! I've never been there - Mother said I should have seen it! I went to Forest Hills to see the tennis with a friend whose mother still lives out there - It was called 'Tournament of Champions' - young players who were marvelous! The big tennis is now played at Flushing - poor Forest Hills has been demoted like everything that was once wonderful! I am mad about Halston's things - anything he does! I too am very busy reading (all I saved) to clean out for the summer! I don't think that I ever want to move again! There is nothing wrong with your cat! Mine (male -grandfather is very fat and always wants more! I leave food out for him - water - dry food (Purina Cat Chow - Country Blend - Liver - Tuna etc.) He likes the Purina Tender Kibbles - (moist cat food) better than the dry - It comes in little packages (in the box) and you don't have to open a can - different flavors on each box - chicken or beef or liver etc. I give him a package for luncheon - a package for dinner. He drinks milk also. Will eat bacon but no egg, the other cat (his son) will eat liver but not touch bacon! Cats are all different likes and dislikes - the personalities are so strong!...Love Edie''. Letter runs 2pp. on a single sheet of card-style stationery measuring 3.75'' x 5.25''. Near fine.
