Grammy medal presented to legendary actor Mickey Rooney in appreciation for being a presenter at the 1984 Grammy awards ceremony. Rooney became friends with Michael Jackson the previous year and famously declared ''It is a pleasure to do the 'Michael Jackson' Show'', in reference to the large amount of Grammy awards the King of Pop won that year for ''Thriller''. Accompanied by a clear lucite stand, bronze medal shows the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences logo to front and reads ''In appreciation / Mickey Rooney / 26th Annual Grammy Awards / 1984'' to verso. Medal measures 3'' in diameter. Near fine.
