Hugh Brannum photo and letter lot, many from his days as Mr. Green Jeans on ''Captain Kangaroo''. Lot comprises 70 photographs of Brannum throughout his life, ranging from an elementary school class photo through his service as a U.S. Marine and work as a performer, both onstage as a musician and on the beloved children's program. Also included are some photos of Captain Kangaroo, 15 promotional cards signed in print ''Hi! from Mister Green Jeans'', several letters of recommendation written for Brannum and also correspondence from CBS and a Marines certificate. Photos are nearly all black and white, ranging in size from 2.5'' x 3.5'' to 8'' x 10''. Some toning, otherwise near fine. Acquired at the estate sale of Hugh Brannum's widow on 28 June 2014 in Saylorsburg, PA.
