Unique large illustration painted by comic book artist Bill Edwards. Well known for his risque drawings, Edwards' illustrations were featured in numerous men's adventure magazines of the 1950's and 60's. This illustration depicts a concerned man comforting a shapely woman as a scene of danger unfolds behind them. Unique is the use of oil paint in addition to the traditional pencil and ink normally used for a drawing of this type. The drawing contains the Artist's initials painted in white in the upper left hand corner. Measures 21.75'' x 15''. Some tape marks around the edges, none of which affect the integrity of the painting itself. Near fine.
