Medal bestowed on Ray Bradbury by the Thomas Cooper Society at the University of South Carolina. Large, solid bronze medal features a bust in relief of Thomas Cooper, surrounded by the name of the award. Plain reverse is engraved, ''Ray Bradbury / Author / 2001''. Rim is engraved with the maker's name of Medallic Art, dated 1995 and stamped ''Bronze''. Medal is suspended from a red, white and blue striped ribbon and housed in a burgundy velvet-lined case. Measures 3'' in diameter and nearly 0.25'' thick. Weighs 8.25 ounces. Near fine. With a COA fom the Ray Bradbury estate.
