Ray Bradbury's award from the Mental Health Association. Trophy features a metal disc with a design of 12 figures radiating from a bell at the center. Disc is engraved to verso, ''Cast from shackles which bound them, this bell shall ring out hope for the mentally ill and victory over mental illness''. Disc is mounted to a black stone or marble base with an engraved plaque dedicated to Bradbury, ''...for promoting good mental health through the understanding, acceptance and values expressed in his writings and his life. / May 26, 1981 / Los Angeles, California''. Measures 8.75'' x 6.75'' x 5''. Weighs 5 pounds. Loosening to disc and large shallow chip to left corner of base. Very good condition. With a COA from the Ray Bradbury estate.
