Acclaimed fantasy artist William Stout original painting titled ''Basroomian Princess'', copyright 2010. Basroom was a fictional representation of the planet Mars, created by American pulp fiction author Edgar Rice Burroughs. Burroughs' work, ''A Princess of Mars'' heavily influenced Bradbury's writing, particularly in ''The Martian Chronicles''. Rendered in casein on board, painting depicts a scantily-clad woman riding an 8-legged green dinosaur against a barren red landscape. Signed ''c 2010 Wm. Stout'' at mid right on the painting. Painting measures 11'' x 16'' and is matted in black with a gilt frame to an overall size of 20.5'' x 25''. Near fine. With a COA from the Ray Bradbury estate.
