Chris Whyte's gold medal from the last Division One Championship before it became the Premier League, won by his team Leeds United in 1992. Gold medal features an eagle crest with banners reading, ''Barclays / League / Division 1 Winners'', flanked by soccer balls. A red and white enameled shield with cross design appears below center. Reverse side features a laurel sprig border surrounding an engraving, ''Season / 1991-92''. Reverse also bears the hallmark of Vaughton & Sons, ''V & S''. Nine karat gold medal has a plain edge and dangles from a ring suspension. Housed in its original case, nestled in a custom bed lined in blue velvet. Gilt design on the lid is of the Football League logo. Medal measures 1.25'' in diameter and weighs 18 grams. Faint scratching to the edge, else fine. With provenance from Bonham's.
