Check is printed with a location of Louisville, KY, and the date is filled in as 4 October 1872. A George Washington Internal Revenue stamp is affixed to the lower left. Endorsed ''W.C. Butterfield / Pr T Cooley'' to verso by the cashier and assistant cashier of the First National Bank of Nashville. Measures 7'' x 2.75''. Near fine.
