First issue book features the Scribner ''A'' and seal to the copyright page. Hemingway's tale about an old Cuban fisherman who engages in a violent battle to conquer a giant Marlin in the Gulf Stream earned the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1953 and is among his most important works.
