Group of four awards presented to prolific actor Robert Young, who won Emmy awards for his performances as ''Marcus Welby, M.D.'' and as the father on ''Father Knows Best''. (1) Impressive First Silver Science Award. Reflective engraved plaque is mounted to a carved wooden scroll. Text reads in part, ''...To Robert Young and The Marcus Welby Show / For Projecting Better Public Understanding / Of Mental And Physical Rehabilitation / 1973 / Rehabilitation Institute / Kansas City, Missouri''. A medal mounted near the top is cast with symbols of science - a microscope, atom and lightning. Measures 11'' x 15''. Scuffing to wood, else near fine. (2) Young's cherished gift from a fan, a stylized portrait of himself matted and beautifully custom framed behind glass in solid wood, engraved on the back, ''Hand-Made By Carley Of Beach Haven NJ For Robert Young''. Measures 7.75'' x 13'' and 2.5'' deep. Nick to right front edge, else fine. (3) Southern California Motion Picture Council Lifetime Achievement Award bestowed on Young on 7 April 1995, just three years before his death. Wooden plaque with engraved metal plate and Hollywood Trophy Co. sticker measures 6'' x 8''. Near fine. (4) Touching award plaque in the shape of a shield from the Epilepsy Foundation of America reads, ''In Behalf of Four Million Americans to Robert Young For His Enlightened Portrayal of Marcus Welby, M.D. 'Aura To A New Tomorrow' November 24, 1970''. This was the year Young won the Emmy for that role. Measures 7.25'' x 9.25''. Tarnishing and minor scrapes to wood edges. Very good. A sentimental lot from a beloved Hollywood name.
