Ownership of Lot No. 289, a 160-acre parcel of Cherokee land, is bestowed upon settler Pleasant M. Compton. 2pp. document, including surveyor's tract identification and formal transfer of title signed by officials, are bound together with ribbon and mounted to an 11.75'' x 17'' matte board. 2.25'' seal of the State of Georgia, attached to ribbon, is also affixed to matte. Moderate foxing, else very good.
