Wilder of the New Haven Journal-Courier reads in full: ''My dear Amos: I have your letter of June 30th, and am sorry to have to give the same answer to you that I gave to Fred Kingsbury. I have had to give up all speaking. My work on the Court monopolizes all the strength that I can give to it. I have a letter from Kelsey, in which he says that the operation upon Dr. Angell has been a success and that he will soon be able to return to active work. [handwritten] With warmest wishes / Wm H Taft''. Single-page letter measures 8'' x 10.5''. Toning and creasing, else near fine.
