Elizabeth Taylor screen-worn wardrobe from the 1951 comedy ''Father's Little Dividend''. Taylor starred in this sequel to ''Father of the Bride'' as Kay Dunstan, a newlywed whose pregnancy, like her wedding in the first film, stresses her father played by Spencer Tracy, to hilarious results. Wardrobe, designed by MGM costumer Helen Rose, comprises a silk half-slip in grey measuring 11.25'' across the waist, and an olive green a-line skirt, featuring two front pockets, measuring 11'' across the waist, also zipping up the back. Both the slip and skirt have labels sewn within, hand-inscribed, ''Eliz Taylor''. Slip is near fine and skirt is very good save for a missing bottom on the front and tears and fabric loss to the upper portion of the back. Originally acquired from the famous MGM Archives Sale, held in 1970 to free up space on the studio lot that had been occupied by the thousands of costumes and props used in MGM pictures over the years.
