James Costigan's Peabody Award for ''Little Moon of Alban''. Costigan wrote the television drama about 19th century war-torn Ireland. The hour-long program aired as a segment on the Hallmark Hall of Fame anthology series in 1958. Since 1940, the Peabody Award has been presented to honor excellence in radio, television and Internet media. Award medal bears the bust image, in profile, of Peabody himself to the obverse, circumscribed by an engraving, ''GEORGE FOSTER PEABODY / LOVER OF MEN''. Reverse is engraved, ''Awarded by the University of Georgia For Conspicuous Service In Television''. The school's credo is written in Latin surrounding three pillars labeled ''Wisdom'', ''Justice'' and ''Moderation''. Medal of solid bronze bears the stamp of Medallic Art Co. New York to its rim. Measures 2.5'' in diameter and weighs 67 grams or 4 ounces. Tiny nick to the rim, else fine.
