Rare cabinet photo of King George V, signed ''George / 1891'' in small, elegant handwriting at upper left corner. Here, the Prince of Wales poses stoically, most likely in his naval uniform, as he served in the Royal Navy until earning the rank of Duke of York and eventually, King George V. With a ''Livernois Photographr [sic] Quebec'' photographer's insignia to verso. Photo measures 4'' x 5.75'' and has water spots and foxing throughout; bottom corners are slightly bent. Else very good condition overall.
