Humphreys, Esq. and reads in part, ''I HAVE had much pleasure in recommending to the Prime Minister that you should be appointed to the Order of the British Empire, and I am glad to learn that the King has approved the recommendation...[signed] Winston Churchill''. Single-page letter measures 7.25'' x 9.25''. Foxing, toning, creasing and separation to fold intersections. Overall good condition.
