Harry S. Truman autograph note signed as President, dated 23 December 1948, written on the bottom of a typed letter signed by his brother, John Vivian Truman. John Truman writes to William S. Bane, ''Dear Uncle Billy,'' on Federal Housing Administration letterhead offering well wishes. President Truman's note at close of his brother's letter reads in full: ''Glad Vivian let me see this. I'm glad to hear from you and that you are well. I well remember your association with my father. I also remember your receipt for raising big water melons. Merry Christmas to you. Sincerely, Harry S. Truman''. Letter on one page measures 8'' x 10.5''. Discoloration along center fold, very good condition.
