WWII Nazi Afrika Korps war souvenir gifted by President Dwight Eisenhower to his personal secretary. Blade and bullet design features stylized palm tree and swastika, the symbol of the Deutsche Afrika Korps, and the year, 1944. To verso are engraved a laurel branch with the name of German-occupied city, ''Bizerte [Tunisia]'' and ''Carney'' and the initials ''A.K.'' Bizerte was reclaimed by American troops on 7 May 1943.
