Barrymore was one of the most famous stage actresses of the early 20th century, with performances as Juliet in ''Romeo and Juliet'' and Nora in ''A Doll's House.'' Black chiffon gown is styled in a Roaring 20's fashion with flowing ruffles and uneven lengths at gown's bottom hem. Original wardrobe tag is safety-pinned to sleeve and reads: ''Hollywood Collection / Ethel Barrymore / Broadway Show Costume / Black Chiffon Evening Gown''.
