Cincinnati Redlegs 1956 team signed ball. The Reds nearly won the National League pennant that year but were overtaken on the last day of the season by the Dodgers. Nevertheless, manager Birdie Tebbetts was voted Manager of the Year by the Baseball Writers Association of America.
