Typed letter signed by ''The Godfather'' author Mario Puzo, on his personal letterhead, dated 15 October 1976. Puzo writes to his literary agent Evarts Ziegler, ''...Here is the completed script of 'Heritage of the Desert'. Hope its [sic] OK...Otherwise you can mount my head with the lions you brought back from Africa...'' Letter is signed in red ink ''Best Mario''. Puzo continues with a ''P.S. I'd like Paramount to have their copies immediately. I am not going to change this first submission for any reason whatsoever.'' Measures 6.75'' x 9.75''. Accompanied by envelope with Ziegler's address written by Puzo. Letter contains horizontal folds, otherwise near fine condition.
