Rare cabinet photo of King George V, signed ''George / 1891'' in small, elegant handwriting at upper left corner. Here, the Prince of Wales poses stoically, most likely in his naval uniform, as he served in the Royal Navy until earning the rank of Duke of York and eventually, King George V. With a ''Livernois Photographr Quebec'' photographer's insignia to verso. Photo measures 4'' x 5.75''. Water spots and foxing throughout, and bottom corners are slightly bent. Good plus condition.
