Collection of three autograph letters signed by John Gotti, written during the 1990s when he was serving time in prison for crimes committed as boss of the Gambino crime family. All letters are written inside cards, addressed to his wife's sister, Marylou DiGiorgio, and usually signed ''Johnny!'' All are additionally signed on the return address panel of the envelopes, ''Gotti'' along with his prison number.

The first letter, postmarked 2 October 1992, is one of Gotti's first letters from prison, written only a few months after his incarceration. Despite the fact he was confined to solitary confinement, Gotti appears in good spirits. He writes in part, ''...As for myself, I was never better...today they had opera - Live from Lincoln Center. The opera was Pagliacci - I saw it before with a name tenor - the tenor tonight is virtually unknown, yet he performed his part to perfection! I really enjoyed it. / Now the real reason for this note - You'll have to admit that it took you and the rest of the country almost four years to learn - that I was right about Bush! -- yep, I told ya so!! Now if your father and you will admit that I was right, I will not rub it in...Love, Johnny!''

In another letter, postmarked 26 October 1994, Gotti writes, ''...I feel great...I had asked someone to send me the 'Celestine Prophecy' weeks ago - well, I finally received it tonight - I should have it read in two or three days...I'd like a favor from you, would you ask Johnny if I have an outstanding tab in Glen's store or perhaps I borrowed money or his lawn mower and forgot to return it? I'm just curious...it's good that you spend some free time with your mother...have a happy Halloween - and give my love to the Boys and Melissa and naturally Johnny - Love Johnny''.

Gotti's last card is a Christmas card, with him writing, ''Just want to wish the both of you a happy and healthy holiday, and a great coming year. I heard that New York got five inches of snow yesterday! Sounds like just the right setting for dinner at Le' Chateau and some piano music - What do you say? Should we go - all kidding aside have a Merry Christmas - I love and miss all of you...Love, Johnny!'' Card is in an envelope postmarked 23 April 1999, likely put in the wrong envelope at some point, but still from Gotti, with his signature and prison number present. Cards vary in size, measuring approximately 7'' x 4''. Tears to envelopes, only one affecting the top of Gotti's signature, overall in very good plus condition.
