J. Edgar Hoover signed and inscribed color photo, dated 3 February 1971, a year before the FBI director passed away. Hoover poses stoically holding a book. Inscribed in black ink upon the mat underlying photo, ''To P.B. Nottingham from J. Edgar Hoover / 2.3.71''. Half-matte photo measures 6.5'' x 7.75'', matted to an overall size of 8.5'' x 11''. Near fine.
