Hunter S. Thompson autograph letter signed, composed on custom stationery for ''Owl Farm'', his ranch in Woody Creek, Colorado. Although Thompson wrote that he bought his famous ranch in 1966 from his friend Trudi Pederson, he writes here that he's facing eviction. Dated 17 March 1967, letter reads in part, ''Ugly times here. Friend Trudi has decided to make the ranch into a pottery shop as of May 1 - which means we're evicted...I'm still trembling from the trip - had to fly to Toronto from L.A. for a TV show [on the Hell's Angels], then stagger back here. I am not well. Send word. H''. Single page letter measures 8.5'' x 11''. Fold and one spot of foxing, else near fine.
