Ticket from the 1966 World Cup championship game in which England beat West Germany 4-2. Game was played at Wembley Stadium on 30 July 1966 and is England's only World Cup title. It was the last World Cup to be broadcast in black & white and the third time the host country took home the Jules Rimet Cup; a trophy that was famously stolen months before the championship, only to be found beneath a bush in London by a dog named Pickles. The trophy was returned in time and Pickles became a celebrity, appearing on TV and in movies. Front of ticket reads, ''Empire Stadium Wembley / World Championship 1966 / Jules Rimet Cup / Final Tie / Saturday July 30 / Kick-Off 3 p.m.'' Right half indicates turnstile and entrance numbers. Upon the verso is the ticket number ''1255'', along with a map of the stadium. Ticket measures 3.25'' x 3.5''. Light creasing, otherwise near fine.
