Harry Truman signed copy of Volume I of his ''Memoirs: Year of Decisions''. Garden City, NY: Doubleday & Co., 1955. Truman inscribes the copy to photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt, who photographed Truman on several occasions. On the half-title page Truman writes, ''With kind regards to Alfred Eisenstaedt / from / Harry Truman / Independence / Nov. 12, 1955''. Housed in very good unclipped dust jacket, with some toning, chipping and small bit of paper loss at spine. Separation starting to front joint of book, otherwise near fine. Consigned by the heir of Lucille Kaye, Eisenstaedt's sister-in-law.
