Harper Lee autograph note signed, dated 22 May; letter has no year, but known to be 1990 from the postmarked envelope. Addressed to a Don Salter in Mobile, Alabama, Lee writes in blue ink: ''Dear Mr. Salter: Sorry, but I'm not in Alabama, and won't be home until November. Sincerely, Harper Lee''. One page letter, measuring 3.75'' x 5.75, has one fold from mailing. Also includes original postmarked envelope in Lee's hand. Letter is near fine.
