Typed letter signed ''Bill Veeck'' on Chicago White Sox stationery as the team's owner. Dated 21 July 1976, the Baseball Hall of Famer's letter reads: ''Dear Mr. Binder: I was glad to hear that you enjoyed reading 'Veeck As In Wreck'. It was fun doing the book. The only pictures of the White Sox of the 1930's and '40's that we have are our file copies, which of course we want to hold on to. I suggest you call Mr. George Brace at CA 7-5805 about old time pictures. He is a veteran sports photographer who has probably the most extensive library of photos and negatives of baseball players dating back to the early 1900's...'' Accompanied by mailing envelope. Single-page letter measures 8.5'' x 11''. Creasing, else fine.
