Grammy award from 1973 for Best Engineered Recording of Stevie Wonder's album ''Innervisions'', won by Robert Margouleff and Malcolm Cecil, close collaborators with Wonder and creators of the revolutionary TONTO synthesizer -- used on the hit tracks ''Living for the City'', ''Higher Ground'' and ''Don't You Worry 'bout a Thing''. In addition to this Grammy, ''Innervisions'' won ''Album of the Year'' for 1973 and is considered among the greatest albums of all time, reaching #34 by Rolling Stone in its list of the best 500 albums.
Grammy award is a gold-plated metal representation of a gramophone affixed to a wooden base, with a plate reading ''National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences / Robert Margouleff & Malcolm Cecil / Best Engineered Recording-1973 / 'Innervisions'''. Measures 7'' high on a 4.75'' square base. Light wear, overall in very good plus condition with no damage to grammophone as often found with vintage Grammys. Accompanied by the original Grammy nomination plaque, measuring 8.5'' x 10.5'', in near fine condition. An exceptional lot attesting to one of the greatest musical creators and albums of all time.
