First edition of H.P. Lovecraft's classic ''Beyond the Wall of Sleep'', the second collection of Lovecraft's work and only the fourth title published by Arkham House. Sauk City, Wisconsin: Arkham House, 1943. One of only approximately 1,200 copies printed. Bound in publisher's black cloth over boards, spine ruled and lettered in gilt, in near fine condition with light bumping. Measures 6.5'' x 9.5''. Dust jacket shows some mild edgewear with a tiny area of filling and color-matching at the head of the spine; also in near fine condition. Overall, a beautiful and near fine copy of this early Arkham House title.
