Extensive Frank Lloyd Wright lot including: (1) Scarce 1951 reprinting of Frank Lloyd Wright essay ''The Sovereignty of the Individual in the Cause of Architecture''; (2) Several correspondences, including two Western Union telegrams from Wright regarding a government sponsored housing project and a speaking engagement in Washington, DC, dated 21 March 1951 and 17 July 1951; (3) Floor plan hand-annotated, possibly by Wright; (4) Postcard written by Wright's son, John Wright, dated 8 April 1959, detailing Wright's ailing health, ''...Just heard local news on TV, that Frank L. Wright's condition was 'serious' after bowel operation Monday night...''; (5) Several correspondences from Wright's office on Taliesin stationery, signed by Wright's secretary, Eugene Masselink; (6) Frank Lloyd Wright and Catherine Lloyd Wright obituaries; (7) Chicago Mayor Richard Daley proclamation signed, dated 11 September 1956, designating 17 October 1956 as ''Frank Lloyd Wright Day''; (8) Two 10'' x 8'' unpublished black and white photographs of Wright speaking in Washington, DC. Lot also includes various essays, magazine articles and interviews with Wright. Overall very good to near fine condition.
